Het gaat om commerciële rassen, landrassen, boerenrassen en de wilde verwanten van onze gewassen uit meer dan 150 landen. Veredelaars kunnen hier uit putten om gewassen te maken die bijvoorbeeld resistent zijn tegen ziekten of plagen, of die juist goed tegen klimaatveranderingen kunnen.

Irish Potato Marketing
IPM Limited was established in 1950 to develop exports of Irish seed and ware potatoes. In the 1970’s it started investing in breeding of new potato varieties in association with Oak Park Research Centre in Carlow. IPM's website lists 26 varieties.
